Yemi Alade Announces New Album ‘IT’S YEMI ALADE’
Nigerian singer Yemi Alade has announced a new album titled IT’S YEMI ALADE, setting the project for release on September 11, 2026 as she begins another major chapter in her international career.
Alade revealed the project through her official Instagram account with a “global announcement,” accompanied by a cinematic campaign visual introducing the album’s title and release date.
The singer has so far kept much of the project under wraps. A complete tracklist and final list of collaborators have not been formally published through her official website, meaning circulating claims about individual features should remain unconfirmed until Alade or her team releases the full credits.
The announcement follows her 2024 album Rebel Queen, a project that continued Alade’s long-running approach of drawing from Afropop while incorporating sounds and influences from different parts of the continent.
Her new title is also unmistakably personal. Rather than introducing the record around a separate concept or character, IT’S YEMI ALADE places her own identity at the centre of the campaign, with the first promotional material presenting the release as a new statement from the artist herself.
