KATSEYE Brings ‘Wild Hearts’ Film to Cinemas Worldwide
Global girl group KATSEYE is taking its story to cinemas worldwide with KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS, a new music documentary opening for limited screenings from August 12, 2026. The theatrical release comes just two days before the group’s third EP, WILD, arrives on August 14.
Directed by Nadia Hallgren, WILD HEARTS follows KATSEYE from the competition and training process that formed the group through its rise as an international pop act. The film combines previously unseen footage, interviews and videos from the group’s fan community, known as EYEKONS. It was produced by Interscope Films and Boardwalk Pictures in partnership with HYBE x Geffen.
The release also arrives as KATSEYE prepares for another major phase of its music career. The group’s WILD EP is scheduled for August 14, while its WILD WORLD TOUR begins September 1.
Speaking to Reuters ahead of the film’s release, members Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel and Yoonchae Jeung said the project gives audiences a closer look at the pressures and experiences behind their transition from trainees to working artists. Lara also co-wrote and co-produced “Unloveu,” one of the songs connected with the new WILD release.
The group is currently promoting the project with two members temporarily away from activities. HYBE and Geffen previously announced that Sophia Laforteza was taking a break, with her condition expected to be reassessed in September, while Manon Bannerman has also been on hiatus. Both remain part of the wider KATSEYE story, with Bannerman appearing in the documentary.
KATSEYE’s rise has also been closely connected to social media. Reuters notes that “Pinky Up” gained momentum through choreography and its hook across , illustrating how short-form video continues to influence music discovery around emerging global acts.
