‘Camp Rock 3’ Returns With Jonas Brothers and a New Generation
Disney has brought Camp Rock back after 16 years, with Camp Rock 3 now streaming on Disney+ following its August 13 premiere on Disney Channel. The film reunites Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas as Connect 3 while introducing a younger generation of performers competing for a place on the group’s reunion tour.
The new story begins when Connect 3 loses the opening act for an upcoming tour and returns to Camp Rock in search of fresh talent. The new cast includes Liamani Segura, Malachi Barton, Lumi Pollack, Hudson Stone, Casey Trotter, Brooklynn Pitts and Ava Jean, alongside returning cast member Maria Canals-Barrera.
The Jonas Brothers are not only returning on screen. Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas serve as executive producers, alongside Demi Lovato, who was one of the original franchise’s central stars.
Music remains central to the revival. The soundtrack arrived alongside the film and includes new material spanning pop, country, K-pop, R&B, hip-hop and folk influences. Its lead single, “One Beat Away,” is performed by Liamani Segura and members of the new cast.
Disney also used D23 2026 in Anaheim to push the franchise further. During the entertainment showcase, the Jonas Brothers appeared on stage to introduce performances of “One Beat Away” and “We Rock,” linking the new cast directly with one of the songs most associated with the original Camp Rock.
The revival forms part of a wider Disney strategy built around both nostalgia and new audiences. The original Camp Rock premiered in 2008, followed by Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam in 2010. Disney says both ranked among its most successful Disney Channel Original Movies of their respective years.
Disney is also taking the new generation beyond streaming. Several Camp Rock 3 performers will join the Worlds Collide Concert Tour, which is scheduled to play 49 arenas across the United States, Canada and Mexico before expanding into the UK and Europe in 2027.
The return therefore goes beyond rebooting an old Disney movie. It gives Disney a new group of young performers, new music and touring opportunities while bringing an established franchise back to an audience that grew up with the Jonas Brothers.
