Ayra Starr’s third studio album, Starrgirl, is making an early impact across international charts, less than two weeks after its release.
The 16-track album has debuted at No. 4 on Billboard’s World Albums chart for the week dated August 29, placing the Nigerian singer inside the chart’s global top five.
Released on August 14 through Mavin Records and Republic Records, Starrgirl follows Ayra Starr’s 2024 album The Year I Turned 21 and features collaborations with Wizkid, Rema, ZAYN, Leon Thomas, kwn, Danny Ocean and Theodora.
The album is also registering across the United Kingdom. Official Charts Company data shows Starrgirl debuting at No. 8 on the Official Hip Hop and R&B Albums Chart and No. 27 on the Official Album Downloads Chart, giving the project two UK album-chart entries in its opening run.
Individual tracks from the project are also gaining ground.
“Heaven Baby,” Ayra Starr’s collaboration with ZAYN, debuted at No. 2 on the UK Official Afrobeats Chart and reached No. 1 on the Official British Asian Music Chart. “Amazing,” featuring kwn, entered the Official Afrobeats Chart at No. 10.
The results extend a period of international growth for Ayra Starr. Her label says she has surpassed 7 billion global streams and 1 billion YouTube views across her catalogue, alongside two Grammy nominations and three MOBO Awards. Those figures are label-supplied career totals rather than Starrgirl-specific streaming numbers.
